Ash is a trans farmer, artist, and educator using diverse tools in pursuit of environmental justice and bodily autonomy. Raised by the Blackland Prairie of the south, Ash currently works as a health educator on Mohawk and Haudenosaunee land (upstate new york). His artistic work is rooted in a transformative ecology: trans self-creation, tending to the land, disability, and decolonial practice. He has a foster cat and loves his okra raw.
Ash es un agricultore, artiste y educadore trans que utiliza diversas herramientas en la búsqueda de la justicia ambiental y la autonomía corporal. Criade en las praderas de Blackland del sur, actualmente trabaja como educadore de salud en tierras Mohawk y Haudenosaunee (en el norte del estado de Nueva York). Su trabajo artístico está arraigado en una ecología transformadora: la auto-creación trans, el cuidado de la tierra, la discapacidad y la práctica decolonial. Tiene un gato adoptivo y le encanta comer molondornes crudos.
