They/Them // Elle
Isak is a trans farmer growing with the Land in West Michigan. They are passionate about farming and printmaking, and they draw connections between the two seemingly different subjects by (sometimes) thinking of farming as carving the Earth, just like carving an artist's print. They have also found that the planning stages of printmaking complement their farm work by bolstering their spatial awareness, which certainly helps with weeding. Isak is currently working on a tessellation print for a queer printmaking journal.
Isak es une agricultore trans que crece con la Tierra en el oeste de Michigan. Le apasiona la agricultura y la impresión, y encuentra conexiones entre estos dos temas aparentemente diferentes al pensar (a veces) que la agricultura es como tallar la Tierra, de la misma manera que se talla una impresión artística. También ha descubierto que las etapas de planificación de la impresión complementan su trabajo en la granja al mejorar su conciencia espacial, lo cual ciertamente ayuda con la eliminación de malezas. Isak está trabajando actualmente en una impresión de teselación para una revista de impresión queer.
